Career Experience
He started his career as Finance Manager and Corporate Secretary at Bist Industrial Corporation, a sugar company in New Delhi, India (1964 – 1966), then worked at USAID, American Embassy in New Delhi, India and Jakarta, Indonesia (1966 – 1975). From 1975 to 1990 he was appointed as Vice President and Treasure of Trisakti Business Group (a business branch of Trisakti University). In 1990 he joined PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk as Director until 1999 and was then appointed as Commissioner, a position he held until 2016. He has also served as Director and Independent Commissioner of PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (2002 – 2013), President Commissioner of PT Lippo General Insurance Tbk (2007 – 2013) and Independent Commissioner of PT Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk (2018 – 2020). In addition, he was also a member of the Audit Committee of PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (2017 – 2020) and PT Multipolar Technology Tbk (2019 – 2020). Currently, he also serves as an Independent Commissioner at PT Lenox Pasifik Investama Tbk and PT Star Pacific Tbk.

Mr. Widjaya Hambali holds a Bachelor of Economics degree in Accounting from Tarumanegara University and a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Indonesia.

He started his career as Accounting Supervisor at Salim Group Plantation from 1997-2001, served as Senior Manager – SAP Consultant at PT Smart Tbk from 2001-2006, served as General Manager of Business Control at Argo Manunggal Group from 2006-2008, served as Head of Finance & Accounting at Inti Keramik Group from 2008-2010, and served as Head of Information Technology at PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk from 2010-2016. He has been the Head of ICT & Digital Transformation at Sampoerna Kayoe since 2017.
